FLOTSAM AND JETSAM Ink Deal With CLEOPATRA For Upcoming DVD

May 28, 2003

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM have inked a deal with Cleopatra Records for their upcoming live DVD. "Now that the deal is signed I can formally say that the band, including Eric A.K., have been offered and have accepted to do this thing this summer," drummer Craig Nielsen revealed in an online posting. "The band is very into this idea and has been something we had always wanted to do, even if it were just in CD format. In fact we pitched the 'live' idea to Metal Blade instead of 'My God' a couple of years ago and they have had historically a real bad experience with live CDs so they passed. This will be the long sought missing link for this band, and we hope and believe it will capture the 100% balls-out effort we put into every one of our live shows."

As previously reported, the frontrunner location for the shows to be filmed for the DVD will be the group's hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's lineup for the performance will include original singer Eric A.K., who left the band in August 2001 after announcing that he was retiring from the music business.
